The Voyage Summer Book Study - August 18th
On nearly every "best of" reading list out there is C.S. Lewis' classic work "Mere Christianity" . In this work, Lewis outlines his classic defense of Christianity while also providing the basic foundations of of what it means to be a Christ follower. As we finish up our Summer, let's get together and read this formative classic.
Our reading schedule will begin with Books 1 and 2 titled "Right and Wrong as a Clue to the Meaning of the Universe" and "What Christians Believe". Our discussion will take place on Thursday, August 18th.
Copies are readily available at any bookstore or through your local Kent District Library branch. Start reading and we'll see you soon!
Other books we've read in Book Study were Ron Hall and Denver Moore's The Same Kind of Different as Me
and Gary Schmidt's latest work of fiction - Okay For Now. Schmidt teaches writing in the English Dept. of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and has authored several other award winning books.
